In May, it was announced that Elisabeth had passed the admission tests for the two-year master course, and she graduated from Lincoln College, Oxford, in July. Photos from the Palace show her walking around the campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Besides passing the admission tests, Elisabeth, the heir to the Belgian throne, was selected for an Honorary Award from the Fulbright Program, the US State Department’s international education exchange programme.

Elisabeth is not the only member of the royal family to study in the US. Her cousin Joachim – son of Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz – obtained a degree in business administration at Harvard, while her father, King Filip, studied political science at Stanford.

Harvard is one of the world’s most prestigious universities, topping the international Shanghai Rankings for 22 years.
