After the success of the book ‘Weird Things in Brussels’, publishers Borgerhoff&Lamberigts have issued a second tome entitled ‘(Even more) Weird Things in Brussels’. Just like last time, Brussels native Cato Beljaar went in search of strange images from the city. These were complemented by the many she also received from fans of her first book. 'More Weird Things' can be followed on Instagram and admired in Beljaar’s latest book.
‘(Even More) Weird Things in Brussels’ shows even more crazy scenes from the capital
During the corona pandemic, Brussels-based Cato Beljaar started posting photos of the many strange things she came across in the street. Soon other people also forwarded photos, which she posted on her Instagram page @WeirdThingsinBrussels. The first book with a collection of all the bizarre images was an instant success. Brussels continues to inspire as can been seen from Cato’s second book.
‘I take a lot of pictures myself, but I also get a huge amount sent to me every day. The madness never stops. A second book was clearly on the cards’.
Everything goes in crazy scenes in Brussels, says Cato. ‘There is a miniature car parked between ordinary cars. The craziest things happen in Brussels. I think it is the only place in Belgium where you see such things. There is a certain nonchalance here that makes anything possible. And the funny thing is, people just walk on by. That is so Brussels’.
‘(Even More) Weird Things in Brussels’ is published by Borgerhoff&Lamberigts.
