The Zaventem (Flemish Brabant)- based Airline Brussels Airlines has announced that the suspension of its services from Brussels Airport to the Israeli city of Tel Aviv will continue until at least Monday 2 September.
Brussels Airlines extends suspension of flights to Tel Aviv until at least 2 September
Meanwhile, in a statement released on Friday Brussels Airlines' parent company, Lufthansa said that it will be resuming some services to the Middle East. Despite the ongoing threat of war between Israel and Iran, Lufthansa says that it intends to resume services to the Jordanian capital Amman and the Iraqi city of Erbil from next Tuesday (27 August).
However, airlines in the Lufthansa group will continue not to fly to Tel Aviv and Tehran until at least 2 September. Meanwhile, services to the Lebanese capital Beirut will remain suspended until at least 30 September.
Lufthansa and Brussels Airlines are offering customers with tickets on one of the cancelled flights the choice of either rebooking on a flight due to leave at a later date or getting a full refund. This applies to tickets booked on any of the airlines that are part of the Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Eurowings and Brussels Airlines). Brussels Airlines does not fly to either Tehran or Beirut.
