For the second consecutive weekend dance music lovers from across the globe have descended on De Schorre recreation park in Boom (Antwerp Province) for the Tomorrowland. This year’s the festival is the 20th Tomorrowland.
After last weekend's heat, perfect weather is forecast for the festival’s second weekend with pleasant temperatures and no rain.
Ideal for those wishing to dance to the wide range of techno, psytrance, house, drum & bass and hardstyle acts playing at Tomorrowland.
73 arrests during first weekend
During the first weekend of the festival, 73 people were arrested on and around the festival grounds for a variety of offences. 11 drug dealers were detained. They will appear in court in October.
In addition, 210 festivalgoers were also caught in possession of “user quantities” of illegal narcotics. They were issued with on-the-spot fines. Anyone caught with drugs is ordered to leave the festival grounds forthwith and has the bracelet that allows access to the festival site confiscated to prevent them from returning.
Disposable beakers
Last weekend the festival received a visit from inspector from the Flemish Environment Department. They found that disposable beakers were being used by some at the festival.
This is in breach of a law stating that reusable beakers must be used. The festival organisers now risk a fine.
