There will be four simultaneous livestreams on VRT MAX, sporza.be and in the Sporza app, so you can choose which discipline to watch. You can watch the images of one event and follow the commentary of another. The Sporza website and app will also be redesigned to be more user-friendly.

VRT 1 will broadcast Sporza: Paris 2024 live from 9.00, presented by Imke Courtois, Tess Els and news anchor Goedele Wachters. In the evenings, there will be Studio Olympia and Paris by Night.

“I am super happy to be helping share this wonderful event with our viewers,” says Wachters. “For centuries, the Olympics have connected people from all over the world.”

All the emotions come through even more intensely on radio

From the Lotto Belgium House, the hub for supporters and athletes in Paris, Karl Vannieuwkerke will analyse the Belgians’ performance, discuss Olympic news and look ahead to upcoming events. He will be joined by guests including cyclist Greg Van Avermaet, sprint star Kim Gevaert and basketball player Ann Wauters. Athlete Elodie Ouedraogo will co-host.

“For me, the Games are the biggest sporting event in the world,” says Ouedraogo. “I’m there to analyse but still empathise with the athletes. Sometimes I’m also going to have to say it wasn’t good. That's hard for me because I know how dramatic the Games can be. One mistake and it's over. And then in four years you get to try again.”

Radio 1, Radio 2 and MNM will broadcast a variety of programmes covering the Games, the athletes and supporters.

Supporters' village

“During the Olympics, on the radio we are everywhere at once,” says presenter Steffy Merlevede. “All the emotions come through even more intensely on radio.”

Radio 2 will also be at the Olympic Festival in Middelkerke, where the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee will host a supporters’ village on the beach with screens, performances and sport training sessions.
