Here comes summer!

The last week of June will be generally sunny and mainly dry with temperatures reaching as high as 28°C. The latest weather forecast from the Royal Meteorological Institute (KMI) predicts a dry start to the week. However, from Wednesday there is more chance of a shower and on Friday temperatures will fall somewhat.

Published:

Monday started off sunny, albeit with mist in some areas. The rest of the day will see sunny periods interspersed with cloud. The sun will shine all day at the coast. Top temperatures will vary from between 23°C at the coast and in the Ardennes to 25°C elsewhere in the country.

Cloud will clear during Monday evening. However, during Monday night some cloud could return. Temperatures will fall to between 12°C and 16°C. Winds will be mostly light.

The rest of the week?

Tuesday too will be sunny, although during the course of the day some cloud could form. It will remain dry with temperatures reaching 23°C on the High Fens and 28°C in the Kempen area in Antwerp and Limburg provinces.

It will be more of the same on Wednesday, although a shower could fall here or there. Temperatures will reach 23°C at the coast and on the High Fens and 27°C or even 28°C in central areas.

Thursday will be cloudier and the chance of showers will increase. The rain will probably fall in the eastern half of the country. Top temperature will remain between 23°C and 27°C.

Friday will be noticeably cooler. Maximum temperatures will range from 17°C to 22°C. It will be cloudy with showers, longer periods of rain and possibly even thunderstorms. After this we can expect a return to dry and sunny weather.
