Three arrests in Tenerife murder and disappearance case involving Flemish couple

There has now been a breakthrough in the case. The police have been able to arrest 3 people. One of them was arrested in Spain and the other two in Charleroi (Hainaut Province).
All three people arrested are suspected of having been involved in the couple’s disappearance. VRT News sources say that it is probable that the suspects had a financial dispute with the couple that had been living on Tenerife for several years. It is unclear whether an argument over money preceded a double murder and the investigation into case is currently still ongoing.
As the investigation into the murder is in the hands of the Spanish prosecutor’s office it is quite possible that the two suspects arrested in Belgium will be transferred to Spain.
