The Brussels prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation after a man threw an airsoft grenade at the Israeli Embassy in the Brussels municipality of Ukkel. The incident happened at around 5:30am at the Embassy on the Sterrewachtlaan.
In a statement released on Friday afternoon the Brussels prosecutor’s office said, "On Friday morning at around 5:30 an as yet unidentified man threw an airsoft grenade towards the Israeli Embassy in Ukkel”.
"The police went to the scene and informed the duty prosecutor. Officers from the Federal Police lab and bomb disposal experts from DOVO attended the scene. The investigation is still ongoing and in the interest of the investigation the prosecutor’s office will be releasing no further information”.
