Brussels Public Prosecutor investigates suspected Moroccan interference in Belgium

The Federal Judicial Police’s Central Anti-Corruption Bureau drafted a first official report concerning the suspected inference by Morocco at the end of December.
That report is based on disclosures made by the RTBF documentary programme ‘Investigation’. The documentary said that there is evidence that the Moroccan state is involved in exerting influencing on individuals here in Belgium, blatant inference and even corruption involving public figures.
The Brussels public prosecutor's office launched its investigation at the end of March. It is not clear on what grounds this was done and the prosecutor's office is refraining from further comment for now.
