Westbound E314 motorway closed on Friday night between junctions 31 and 32 at Genk in Limburg Province
The Flemish Highways Agency will carry out resurfacing work on the westbound E314 motorway in Limburg Province on Friday night. There are potholes on the right-hand lane necessitating the resurfacing of the road between the Genk East and the Genk Centre junctions.
The road markings will also be repainted. "The new top layer will better protect the sub-layers and thus increase the life of the road surface. Safety and driving comfort will also improve," said The Flemish Transport Minister Lydia Peeters (liberal) told VRT News.
Diversion
Traffic will be diverted from junction 32 of the motorway through Oud-Waterschei via the Europalaan (N75), Wiemesmeerstraat - André Dumontlaan - Onderwijslaan (N744) to junction 31 (Genk-Centre via the city’s Westerring (N76).
Long-distance traffic coming from the Netherlands will be diverted from Kerensheide interchange via Eindhoven to the Ranst interchange in Antwerp Province.
The work will be carried out between 9pm tonight and 8am tomorrow.
