The company that manages the electronic payment network in Belgium Worldline warns that credit card payments may not be possible between 10pm on Sunday 24 and 6am on Monday 25 March. Worldline is set to carry out maintenance work on its IT system.

This means that it may not be possible to make certain electronic payments with Maestro, Mastercard, Mastercard Debit, Visa, Visa Debit, JCB, UPI, Diners and American Express cards in both physical and online shops, as well as at petrol stations in Belgium.
Bancontact transactions and cash withdrawals from ATMs will still be possible.
