Workers at baggage handler Aviapartner at Brussels Airport have walked out in an unscheduled protest. The strike is delaying several flights.
It’s as yet unclear what the exact impact of the industrial action will be and how long it will last.
Last year baggage handlers at Aviapartner also struck during the half-term break. A two-week break is currently underway in the Francophone education sector with many people keen to get away. Last year workers struck in protest against increased work pressure and poor working conditions. 5,000 items of luggage got left behind as passengers flew out.
