From as early 6 AM the Wetstraat will be closed between Schuman, at the heart of the European District, and ‘Kleine Ring’, the inner Brussels orbital ring road (R20). The Reyers Tunnel too is shut for drivers heading downtown from the E40 as is the Jubel Park Tunnel towards the Wetstraat.

No traffic will be allowed onto the inner Brussels orbital and the Kunst-Wet intersection at certain times, police warn. Traffic is expected to pile up in streets in the vicinity of the Wetstraat and the European District.

From early morning many demonstrators will already be making their way to the Wetstraat by tractor via various approach roads . Problems may persist until late afternoon.

The police advise the use of public transport (metro and/or train) or other means of transport, but not the car.
