The World Snooker Champion Luca Brecel is to appear as a contestant in Tuesday evening’s edition of the long-running VRT television quiz show ‘Blokken’. Luca Brecel is a big fan of ‘Blokken’ that is broadcast each weekday evening just before the 7pm news on VRT 1. The World Snooker Champion told VRT News that the particularly like the presenter Ben Cabbé’s “daft jokes”.
In Tuesday evening’s edition of the popular quiz, Luca Brecel with compete against a pianist called Ann. A proud Ben Crabbé said “The World Snooker Champion has come as a contestant to our humble studio”.
Luca Brecel has had a busy year since becoming World Champion in May 2023. "I have been asked to do a lot such as TV appearances and the like. I turn about 80% of these requests down. I am also invited to play snooker. I have been to America and Hong Kong. This is good financially and it is part of being World Champion”.
Luca Brecel is currently training for this year’s Snooker World Championships that start on 20 April. Those that wish to can see Luca Brecel compete in ‘Blokken’ at 6:35pm on VRT1. The programme will also be available on demand on VRT Max.
