Flanders and Catalonia to work together more closely together to support start-ups

The agreements were to have been signed in the presence of Flemish Prime Minister Jan Jambon (nationalist). However, Mr Jambon had to cancel his trip so that he could attend Thursday’s negotiations with Flemish farmers’ representatives in Brussels.
The trip to Barcelona was nevertheless important for the Flanders Investment and Trade. The Barcelona area is one of the most important start-up hubs in Europe. The Flemish trade and investment agency signed a undertaking with its Catalan counterpart Acció to collaborate on the development of so-called “start-up ecosystems” in both Catalonia and Flanders.
Flanders Investment and Trade (FIT) also signed an agreement with Tech Barcelona.
