Train driver ignores signal at red: 800 commuters stuck for an hour and a half

The train was travelling from Essen (Antwerp) to Brussels when the incident happened.  Following the rules the driver had to be replaced by a colleague and checks needed to be done.

Given the early hour, around 800 commuters were on board the service, when it was forced to stop.   They experienced delays of almost an hour and a half late.
