Fresh research has confirmed what many people already figured out: European cars are getting ever wider. Unnecessarily so, argues Flemish environmental organisation BBL: these cars are dangerous, inefficient and use more materials and energy than required. The BBL wants the European authorities to step in and introduce stricter rules preventing cars from getting ever wider.
