A woman from Bilzen (Limburg) won 100,000 euros on a scratchcard last Monday. This was the first time the women had purchased a scratchcard!
The 46-year-old purchased the scratchcard at her local shop. Proprietor Simran says he’s so pleased for the woman and her family: “These are good folk and can certainly use the money. People regularly win 50, 100 or even 1,000 euros on scratchcards sold here, but we’ve never experienced this”.
The fortunate woman purchased the card around 6PM: “A quarter of an hour later she was back. She was euphoric as she told me she had won 100,000 euros” explains Simran, who runs the store with his brother Ravi.
Simran posted the news of the big win on Facebook and that even attracted new punters eager to try their luck. “The Cash 20 card that the woman bought is one of the most popular lottery products”.
The winner also spoke to VRT: “This was the first time I purchased a scratchcard. My hubby does from time to time. When I got home, I had to doublecheck I had won several times. It only became real when I returned to the store and heard the winning tune. The cash will come in handy. We want to buy a house we can renovate. Our children too will share in our winnings”.
