Jeffrey believes his Rage Room will be a hit!

The first ever Rage Room has now opened in Limburg Province.  Jeffrey Bakhti, who lives in the town of Sint-Truiden has equipped a room at his home as a Rage room.  It’s a place where you can knock everything to bits without upsetting anybody.  Jeffrey says this is the ideal way to give expression to all your frustrations.

Limburg’s first Rage Room is called 'Smashit' and that aptly describes what you can do there.  Jeffrey believes the room that he created in his garden is the place to be for anybody suffering from stress, pent up anger or frustrations.  Here you can smash everything to bits.

The 29-year-old explains that here you can enjoy yourself by trashing everything: glass bottles, vases, chairs, even TVs and other electronic equipment.  A session can last anything up to 40 minutes.  “I regularly hear customers’ shouts in my living room.  You should see the difference between people when they walk in and when they leave".

Bottles and chairs, all can be trashed here!

Jeffrey’s Rage Room has only just opened, but he’s already received countless bookings: “I’ve noticed how since the pandemic people easily take offence and suffer greatly from stress and frustrations.  Many people and I include myself in that don’t know how to deal with their emotions.  When I discovered the Rage Room concept on TikTok last November I realised that this was the ideal way to blow off steam.”

“People turn up here for various reasons” explains Jeffrey.  “Some people are eager to deal with frustrations they experienced at work.  Other people are going through a break-up with their partner, have just lost somebody or simply want to have fun. Whatever the grounds, in a Rage Room you can get rid of your frustrations without disturbing anybody else.  I enjoy offering people an opportunity to deal with their frustrations and sort things out”.

So where does all the stuff people trash in the Rage Room come from?

Jeffrey sources the material from a company that does house clearances or from friends, who were about to take stuff to the recycle park.

At present the Rage Room can accommodate up to three people, but given the early success Jeffrey already has plans for expansion and hopes to create a larger Rage Room that can accommodate groups.  Let’s just hope his neighbours don’t have any objections!

Jeffrey's Rage Room looks like a fun place!
