De Croo tells European Parliament: 2024 will be a crucial year (VIDEO) 

Prime minister Alexander De Croo told the European Parliament in Strasbourg today that Europe must be “stronger, more sovereign, more self-reliant” in 2024 and not fear standing alone in the event of a new “America first” policy in the US. De Croo, of Flemish liberals Open VLD, was setting out the priorities for the Belgian presidency of the EU, which runs until the end of June.
