Cold weather has led to delays at Brussels Airport, with staff working through the night to keep runways free of ice and snow and prevent ice build-up on planes. “This operation is not calculated as part of a normal flight time, so it can lead to delays,” airport spokesperson Ihsane Chioua Lekhli told VRT. “With our partners, we do all we can to ensure that flights depart as scheduled, but we can’t rule out delays.” Passengers are advised to check the airport’s website for the latest information before travelling.
