Despite the cold many of us are happy to be able to enjoy a few days of bright and sunny weather. The bright, if somewhat chilly weather comes after two months of dull a gloomy weather with a lot of rain.
Sunshine at last after two months of dull and wet weather in November and December

The VRT’s weatherman Bram Verbruggen explains that “December was dull and wet indeed. In the whole month, there were only 20 hours of sunshine at the Ukkel Weather Centre. This compares to a December average of 48.5 hours of sunshine, so last month we got less than half of what we could normally expect. One front followed another and so 102 litres of rain fell. This is well above the December of 87 litres."
