VRT’s end-of-year fundraiser, the Warmest Week, raised 8,790,633 euros this year. This amount will go to 287 projects devoted to "growing up without worries", the theme of this year’s edition. A total of 14,136 sponsored records were requested during the marathon live broadcast and 4,639 special actions were organised to raise money.

7 days long VRT presenters Eva De Roo, Robin Keyaert, Sam De Bruyn and Sander Gillis presented a radio marathon from from the Warmest House in Bruges (West Flanders). It was good for 146 hours of radio and television.
Actions and fiery reporters
Anyone who wanted could organise a special action to raise money for the 287 projects selected. A total of 4,639 actions were registered.
People, who made it to Bruges, could visit the Warmest Village to explain their fund-raising action and hand over a cheque. For those for whom Bruges was too far, VRT reporters were out and about.
Pien Lefranc and Manu Van Acker set off in their vans a fortnight ago and passed by every municipality in Flanders and Brussels. At least one fundraiser was visited in all 319 municipalities.

Supporting the Warmest Week was also possible by bearing witness on the theme of "Growing up without Worries" or by requesting a request record and making a donation: 14,136 people did so.

A total of 117,923 flame badges were also sold to raise cash. 29 artists gave a free concert from the roof of the Warmest House. 140,000 visitors stopped by at 't Zand in Bruges during the week-long fundraiser.
All these actions and record requests raised 8,790,633 euros. The entire amount goes to the DWW Fund and will be distributed by the King Boudewijn Foundation. The selected projects focus on four areas: home, education, leisure and online.
