Police in Morocco have arrested a suspect in connection with the bomb threats made against Francophone schools in Brussels and Walloon Brabant.
Yesterday 27 schools remained closed and 10,000 pupils were instructed to stay at home. Police took the threats that were made via email seriously and searched all schools but found no explosives. Federal police were able to identify the sender of the emails, who was demanding a price for shelving his plans to attack the schools. The emails had been sent from Morocco. A suspect was tracked down and arrested. He has admitted sending the threats. His motives remain unclear but are not linked to terrorism.
