Belgian Beer World is a massive hit

The new beer museum in the old Brussels stock exchange building is a tremendous success. In only a couple of months, the beer experience centre has already attracted 20,000 visitors. “This is many more than we had expected” explains Belgian Brewers’ director Krishan Maudgal during the presentation of a new promotional campaign for Belgian beer.

"We were counting on 20 per cent of visitors coming from Belgium and 80 per cent foreign tourists, but after seven weeks the figure is around 45 per cent Belgians. We will continue to work on the quality of the experience and try to increase the number of visitors," the director added.

Belgian Beer World hopes to attract 450,000 people a year. The attraction was inaugurated in early September. The Stock Exchange building was created by architect Léon Pierre Suys in the second half of the 19th century. Renovation work on the listed building over many years cost 90 million euros.
