Proximus is raising the price of various subscriptions on 1 January 2024. The telecom operator says inflation is continuing to put pressure on costs. The last price increase occurred as recently as July.
Like in July, Proximus is raising the price of its popular Flex packs, which bundle internet, television and a mobile subscription. The increase is EUR 3 per month. In exchange, customers do get some extra mobile data. Standalone internet subscriptions become €2 to €3 more expensive, depending on the product. The most expensive subscription, Maxi Fiber, will run at a higher speed.
Proximus is not sparing the cheapest entry-level fixed internet subscription, Internet Essential, this time. The formula is increasing in price from €25 to €28 per month. The operator does point out that new legislation from March will allow a larger group of customers to subscribe to a basic offer at the social rate of EUR 19.
Proximus is also making TV options more expensive. The Pickx Mix bundle, which includes a number of extra channels and a catalogue of programmes on demand, will cost EUR 12.99 a month from 1 January instead of EUR 10.99. The Pickx Sports sports option, which includes Belgian football, rises from 16.99 euros to 18.99 euros.
