Prince Emmanuel turns 18 today and the occasion of his birthday, the Royal Palace has posted new photos of the prince online. Prince Emmanuel is the third child of King Filip and Queen Mathilde.

The Royal Palace said as much in a post on the social media platform Facebook.
Prince Emmanuel is the third child of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde. He was born in the Erasmus Hospital in Anderlecht (Brussels) 18 years ago on 4 October 2005. His sister Crown Princess Elisabeth, is 4 years older. His brother Gabriel is 2 years older and his sister Eléonore is almost 3 years younger.
Like his older brother Gabriël, the prince attends the International School of Brussels, an English-language private school with extensive sports facilities in Watermaal-Bosvoorde. Previously he was a pupil at the Eureka school in Kessel-Lo (Flemish Brabant), a school for children with learning disabilities and structural problems such as dyslexia, dyscalculia and dyspraxia, for five years.
The Royal Palace says that the prince loves nature and enjoys a lot of sports, including skiing, tennis, windsurfing and running. At the end of last year he participated in the VRT’s charity walk/run Warmathon in Brussels together with his sister Crown Princess Elisabeth.
The prince has also been a member of a youth movement for several years and he also plays the saxophone. He displayed his musical talent during an intimate Christmas concert at the Royal Palace in 2020.
