Four buddies, all members of the Meise cycling club, have cycled from the US capital on the eastern seaboard to the city of Seattle in the far west of the United States. During their journey they covered 7,600 kilometres and crossed 14 US states.
The Flemish Flyers spent ninety days cycling from one side of the US to the other. “It was a fantastic journey” says Flemish Flyer Frank Pasques. “It exceeded all our expectations”.
The Americans the four buddies met along the way left the profoundest impression on them. “This was a journey with great vistas across areas of marvellous natural beauty, but what made the greatest impression on us were the people we met. We experienced incredible American hospitality in every state”.
