A container ship crashed into the Ring Bridge on the Sea Canal in Willebroek (Antwerp Province) yesterday evening. The surface of the bridge was hoisted into the air exactly at a moment when a truck was crossing the bridge. The truck was badly damaged. Two of the ship’s containers ended up in the canal. The truck has meanwhile been towed away. The bridge has been inspected and is back open for traffic.
