Problems with the gates at Brussels Airport resulted in delays for passengers exiting the Schengen Zone. The automatic gates used to do passport checks broke down and everything had to be done manually. That resulted in long queues in the non-Schengen terminal at Belgium’s biggest airport. Due to the delays some flights left later than planned, but others also left with passengers still stuck in queues.
